Teaching Assistantships

Hours: 10-20 hours per week. Compensation: The salary for a full time Teaching Assistant is $6,000 - $7,000 for the semester. Full-time Teaching Assistants are eligible for benefits. Eligibility: You must be enrolled as a mathematics master's degree-seeking student during the semester you are applying for. To apply, submit the following documents to the Mathematics Department Office during the long semester preceding the semester you are applying for.
* For the specific purpose of applying for a teaching assistantship ONLY, unofficial copies of the GRE scores are acceptable. Selection process: Your application will not be considered until you have been accepted as graduate mathematics degree seeking student. It is to your advantage to submit your information as soon as possible. Once the selections have been made, you will be notified by mail. If you are selected you will be asked to send a note to the department office stating whether you accept or decline the offer. If you are not selected, your name may be placed on a waiting list for any future assistantships that become available.
